10:15 – 11:15 Panel discussion on research management and research excellence assessment practices (REF vs 5-100) (moderated by Prof David Neal, the panel includes Dr John Green, Dr Denis Butnaru and Prof Sir Christopher Edwards)

11:30 – 12:30 Panel discussion on early career researcher (ECR) career development (moderated by Ms Nina Seylanova, the panel includes Prof Nigel Mongan (Nottingham), Prof Albert Rizvanov, Dr Emil Bulatov and Dr Rebecca Berrens.

11:30 – 12:45 Medical Cooperation and its impact on Anglo-Russian Relations: Lessons from the Past workshop (chaired by Sir Tony Brenton, speakers include UK-based expert historians and international relations students from Russia – the latter have undertaken research attachments in the UK archives earlier this year and will present their results)

13:50 – 15:20 Roundtable discussion on the UK-Russia funding landscape to discuss the prospects of establishing a full-scale UK-Russia research funding scheme
15:20 – 15:30 Refreshments
15:30 – 17:00 Roundtable discussion with prospective partners to agree a vision of the Association’s future development and identify ways of ensuring a sustainable growth of its programmes’ quality and accessibility
